SCHOOL PUPIL ADMISSION REVIEW – HAVE YOUR SAY

29 Apr

As you may know, late last year, the Council began to review its current school admission policy that is based on catchment areas to help establish whether this is still the right option for the city. We asked for the views of parents and carers through a citywide survey.

Nearly 800 parents and carers across the city completed the survey.

The results so far have been extremely valuable for the review, however we have noted that fewer people took part in some areas of the city and in Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities. To ensure a fair and representative view from across the city, we are now extending the consultation for another fortnight and would like to encourage more parents to take part particularly:

  • Those living in the following postcode districts: S2, S3, S4, S5, S9, S12, S13, S14, S20
  • Those from BME communities

This consultation is open until Friday 15th May.
