Sheffield City Council is preparing to launch a tender for Keeping People Well in their Community, for services to start in April 2016.

Keeping People Well in their Community comprises 6 inter-linked outcomes.  You are invited to come and find out more about this opportunity to deliver two of the six outcomes from 2016 to 2018.  The two outcomes are ‘Local Inform & Advise’ and ‘Community Asset Development’.  Please see the attached for more information on the Keeping People Well outcomes and what they mean.

Keeping People Well in their Community is a strand of Sheffield’s Better Care Fund Integrated Commissioning Programme and its main aim is to reduce or delay people’s need for higher level services through community based preventative interventions.

As part of the preparations, we would like to invite your organisation to attend one of our tender briefings.  The briefings will explain the timescales, the contracting model, and the outcomes for the new service. This will enable you to be well informed and consider if you would like to participate.  The Council is keen to encourage partnership bids from all kinds of organisations – large, small, neighbourhood, city wide and cross-sector.  We hope that organisations of different sizes and with different skills will work together as equal partners on tender bids, in order to provide the best possible service for local communities.

We are holding one briefing in each Locality (see attached for an NHS CCG Localities Map and a list of Sheffield Practices by GP Localities) and a final briefing for those from Any Locality who are unable to attend in their area.  Ideally please attend the briefing in your geographical area, as this will provide you with an opportunity to network with other local groups and organisations, with whom you may wish to collaborate.

To book please use the appropriate EventBrite link for your Locality:

Please do register so that we can be confident each venue can accommodate the number of people attending.

If you are unable to book using EventBrite, please email or telephone 0114 2736815.

If you have any queries about the briefings other than how to book, please contact

We look forward to seeing you at one of the briefings.  Please feel free to forward this to your networks.
