Monday 1st August, 11am-4pm, The Moor

Come down to the moor on the 1st of August and join Ignite Imaginations for a day celebrating everything Yorkshire, a high quality family friendly event.


Traditional Sport Games with Activity Sheffield.

Join in our races, giant games and competitions including egg and spoon, skipping, swing ball and giant connect four.


  • Make a white rose puppet or brooch to take home,
  • Enter your own race with a whippet inspired mask,
  • Make bracelets and necklaces using the Yorkshire flag colours
  • Add your own Yorkshire phrases to our story board.


  • Crafts, prints, jewellery, ceramics and textiles for sale from Lucy Brookfield, Ange Made Ceramics, Helen Moyes and Doodle Monkey.
  • Face painting


Free tasters every half an hour from the local shops on the Moor

Including Greggs, Pound Bakery, S & J Pantry, Punch Stores, Wateralls, Granellis, Beer Central, Moor Coffee, Turners and Brew Bean


  • Tea, coffee and cakes will be available at Theatre Delicatessen all day
  • See our Yorkshire Photo competition winner’s prized photos displayed on the hoardings
  • Follow our Moor Market Treasure Hunt (a get a prize!)
