A consultation has been launched to find out what people think about the information and advice given by Sheffield City Council’s adult services, covering social care, libraries, housing and communities.

More than two million people use the council website every year and the authority’s customer services team respond to more than a million enquiries.

Now the council is asking people for their views about the information and advice and how it is given.

The consultation is open until Friday, 25 November. People completing the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win £50 shopping vouchers.

Councillor Cate McDonald, Cabinet Member for Health and Social Care at Sheffield City Council, said: “We give information to thousands of people every day about the things that really matter to them, such as adult social care and housing. And we do this through many different ways including online, in print, in person and over the phone.

“It’s important that we get it right, so that people can make choices that are the best for them. We want to hear from as many people as possible and are asking for ideas about how we might improve.”

Visit www.sheffield.gov.uk/gettinginvolved to take the consultation survey or call the council’s helpline on 0114 273 4119.
