Activity Sheffield – Proposed changes to the current service

6 Dec

Sheffield City Council continues to face significant financial challenges as the Government further reduces its grant to the local authority. Extremely difficult decisions have had to be made over the past six years about services that the people of Sheffield care so much about. Sadly due to the necessity for further cuts in the coming year, Activity Sheffield in its current form is no longer financially viable. More information is available on the attached letter. You can provide feedback by contacting Activity Sheffield through letter to; Jo Pearce, Activity Sheffield, Moorfoot Building, Sheffield S1 4PL, alternatively you can email  Please note that the deadline for them to receive your feedback is Friday 23 December 2016.

Sheffield Tobacco Control Strategy Consultation

6 Dec

SCC and partners are currently refreshing the Tobacco Control Strategy for 2017-2022. On the 31st of March 2017 all our current contracts are due to end. This provides an opportunity to review what we have in place, and consider how we can do better to support smokers in the city to stop, and children and young people not to start.

We are consulting with the public and a number of key stakeholders to understand views and opinions about the proposed new strategy.

The ‘Sheffield Tobacco Control Strategy consultation 2017- 2022’ is now open and will run until the 2nd of January 2017. As a key partner please could you take part in our consultation which can be accessed via SCC Citizen Space
