Sheffield’s Multi-Story Festival

29 Mar

Sheffield’s Multi-Story festival is back for its fourth year and includes a packed programme with famous authors, musicians and travel writers, as well as ‘how to’ sessions, creative workshops and live performances.

More than 25 events are planned in Sheffield libraries throughout April and the vast majority are free. Organisers are hoping to attract more people than ever this year and top the 1,170 tickets taken last year.

Councillor Jack Scott, said:
“There’s a massive amount going on in libraries across Sheffield. If you’ve not been for a while then pop into your local branch to see what’s on offer, and check out our fabulous Multi-Story line up.”

Visit www.sheffieldlibraries.eventbrite.co.uk for more information about the Multi-Story festival and to book tickets or pick up an events guide from your local library.

Castlegate Regeneration Project

29 Mar

Plans to uncover some of Sheffield’s rich riverside history at Castlegate are moving forward thanks to new funding from the Environment Agency.

Sheffield City Council has been awarded £50,000 funding to develop designs for Sheaf Field, which could ultimately see the River Sheaf de-culverted as it passes part of the former Castle Market site.
The new funding will enable council officers to better understand the river layout and make a more detailed design. See full details on Council website.
