Title: Deputy Cat Welfare Manger (Maternity Cover)

Description:

The Sheffield Cats Shelter has been caring for cats for 122 years in Sheffield, and we rescue and re-home hundreds of cats and kittens each year. We rely solely on donations to take in, neuter, microchip and vaccinate vulnerable cats, as well as providing their necessary veterinary care, before finding them their new loving forever homes.

Hours of Work: 5 days: 35 hours per week: Sunday to Friday – Fixed Term for 6 months. You will be required to work at weekends, bank holidays and be available to work additional hours to cover for sickness and holidays.

Salary: 16,760 Per Annum

Examples of some of the duties involved (this is not a full list):

Oversee and assist with:

  • Feeding, medicating and general welfare of cats and kittens
  • Cleaning routines and adoptions
  • Website and social media updates
  • Customer service

Be responsible for:

  • Deputising for the Cat Care Manager
  • Vets visits
  • General administration
  • Supervision of staff and volunteers
  • New admissions and health checks
  • Adhering to Health and Safety Legislation

Community Safety Partnership Plan Launch – Feb 2019

The Sheffield Safer Communities Partnership would like to invite you to the launch of the Sheffield Community Safety Partnership Plan, on 01 February 2019, 9.30am-12pm at the Circle.

Speakers at the launch include

  • Councillor Jim Steinke, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods and Community Safety
  • Chief Superintendent Stuart Barton, Sheffield District Commander, South Yorkshire Police

It will be an opportunity to discuss how we can engage better with communities in Sheffield and we value your input in these discussions.

We would also like to use this as an opportunity to share much of the partnership work that goes on in Sheffield, so there will be a number of stalls around the room for you to browse and make contacts.
