Parks & Countryside – Customer Satisfaction Survey 2019

23 Jul

Upper Hanover Playground Workday

22 Jul

Local volunteers came together this morning to support the Broomhill & Sharrow Vale ward Councillors, the Sheffield Councils Parks & Countryside’s officers, the City ward Councillors, volunteers from the Jesus Centre and South Yorkshire Police to brighten up the Upper Hanover playground.

Councillor Kaltum Rivers and Andrew Machin (Sheffield Council) had organised the workday where volunteers assisted with the painting of the swings and fences and a litter pick.  Councillor Kaltum Rivers quoted, ‘it is very important for the community to be involved in local activities as such where the area is improved with the support from local people’.

The workday was a success.  The local community can now enjoy using the playground which looks newer, cleaner, and fresher.

Parks and Countryside – Customer Satisfaction Survey 2019

6 Jun

We have some great Parks, Green Spaces and Woodlands in Sheffield.  Let us know what you think!

We would be really grateful if you would take a few minutes to answer our questions. Your comments will help us understand how you feel about our Parks, Green Spaces and Woodlands. Your feedback will also help us to see what we can do to improve our sites in the future.

The more people who complete the survey, the more meaningful the results will be and it would be really valuable to get an array of participants to respond, to give a broader perspective.

The survey should take about 5 minutes.  Please make the most of this opportunity to have your say

West St or Portobello St – which is quicker?

23 May

We’ve recently announced an extension to the Portobello Street cycle route – see our recent news release about the extension – and we went out on our bikes to do a side-by-side comparision to the West Street route.

Part of this route (between Western Bank and Mappin Street) has been completed in partnership with University of Sheffield.

The next phase introduces a 700-metre walking and cycling route along Portobello Street, Trippet Lane and Pinfold Street.
